Dr. Sejal Vyas, Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Sejal Vyas is a Pediatric and Adult Neuropsychologist with over 25 years of experience who performs neuropsychological evaluations, legal/forensic assessments, learning consultations, and cognitive remediation.

Her areas of expertise include neurodevelopmental syndromes (such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and other genetic conditions), neurologic syndromes (such as concussions, traumatic brain injury, and epilepsy), as well as other neuropsychiatric conditions (such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder). She has exensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and geriatrics (click here to view a comprehensive list of Dr. Vyas’ expertise).

Dr. Vyas developed her expertise through various in- and out-patient hospital settings and departments including Yale University School of Medicine – Department of Psychiatry, University of California San Francisco (UCSF) – Northern California Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, Columbia University – Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry, and Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai School of Medicine – Departments of Rehabilitation Medicine and Psychiatry, among others. She served as Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons as well as at Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is currently an Advanced Practice Provider Medical Staff at the Stamford Hospital Department of Psychiatry and is conducting IRB (Institutional Review Board) approved research with Stamford Hospital’s Research Department. In addition, she has been part of the Eagle Hill School Diagnostic Clinic, a nationally recognized school serving children with learning challenges (click here to view comprehensive list of experience).

Dr. Vyas served as President for the Neuropsychology Division of the New York State Psychological Association (2009) and held various other elected positions over the years (click here to view Elected Positions). Dr. Vyas was awarded the Top Doctor in Stamford, CT Award in 2018, the Best of Stamford Award in the Doctor category in 2015, 2020, 2021, and 2023, the Best in New York Award in the Doctor category in 2025, and the Student Research Award given by the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Dr. Vyas also recently received the Student’s Choice Award in 2023 at the Stamford Hospital Research Day (click here to view all awards received). Her research includes the development of the Vyas Questionnaire©, a novel screening tool for mental and cognitive health, as well as the publication of its initial validation data in a peer-reviewed journal (click here to read publication). Dr. Nick Morelli, Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Nick Morelli is a licensed psychologist who provides comprehensive neuropsychological and developmental evaluations, as well as evidence-based psychotherapy for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. His areas of expertise include autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disorders, intellectual disability, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma-related difficulties. He specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Parent Management Training (PMT), and other evidence-based interventions tailored to each child’s developmental needs.

Dr. Morelli earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the San Diego State University/University of California San Diego Joint Doctoral Program, where he also completed a Master of Public Health (MPH). He has received specialized training in neuropsychological assessment and evidence-based interventions across a wide range of academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, and community mental health settings. Most recently, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Boston Child Study Center, where he specialized in PCIT, neuropsychological assessment, and autism diagnostic evaluations.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Morelli maintains an active program of research focused on child development, trauma, and mental health. He has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications, contributed to book chapters, and presented his work at national and international conferences. His research informs his clinical practice, ensuring that his assessment and treatment recommendations are grounded in the latest scientific evidence.

Dr. Morelli takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach to treatment, recognizing parents and caregivers as the primary agents of change in a child’s life. He works closely with families to build on existing strengths while providing practical, evidence-based strategies that promote lasting improvements across home, school, and community settings. His training in both clinical psychology and public health informs a comprehensive perspective that considers not only the individual child, but also the broader family, school, and community systems that support healthy development.

Dr. Louis Primavera, Senior Research Statistician and Consultant

Dr. Louis Primavera received his BA in Psychology from St. John’s University and his MA and Ph.D. in quantitative methods from the City University of New York. He is a New York State Licensed Psychologist and has training in behavior therapy and rational emotive behavior therapy. He had a private practice for more than twenty-five years and specialized in marriage counseling. Dr. Primavera was the founding Dean of the Graduate School of Psychology at Touro College and later served as a professor for the Doctor of Psychology program. Previously he was the Dean of the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University for six years and is professor emeritus at Adelphi. Before going to Adelphi, Dr. Primavera was at St. John’s University for nineteen years. At St. John’s he taught in the doctoral and master’s programs in psychology. He held the post of Chair of Psychology for six years and was Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences for four and one-half years. Before St. John’s, Dr. Primavera held full-time faculty positions at Hofstra University, St. Francis College (where he was department chair), and Molloy College. 

Dr. Primavera has published extensively and has interests in quantitative methods, drug use, and stigma and discrimination. He held a staff position as a consultant to the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for ten years. He also held a number of other consulting positions in medicine, business, and education. 

Dr. Primavera is very dedicated to his teaching and won the excellence in teaching award at St. John’s and a teaching award at Memorial Sloan Kettering. He has been a member of a number of professional organizations and has presented at a number of annual conventions and conferences. Dr. Primavera was President of the Academic Division of the New York State Psychological Association, President of the New York City Metro Chapter of the American Statistical Association, and long-time Board Member of the New York State Metro Chapter of ASA and is currently vice president of the chapter. Dr. Primavera is a fellow of the Division of General Psychology and the Division of Measurement, Evaluation, and Statistics of the American Psychological Association, a fellow of the American Educational Research Association, and a fellow of the Eastern Psychological Association.

Justin Ehringhaus, Head of Technology

Justin Ehringhaus is Head of Technology, where he leads the development of the practice’s technology, analytics, and digital systems. His work focuses on using technology to improve clinical workflows, support thoughtful interpretation of assessment results, and strengthen the tools and infrastructure used by clinicians and staff.

Since joining the practice in 2019, Justin has helped modernize its technological infrastructure, developing systems that support both patient care and day-to-day operations. He has also contributed to research and development involving predictive modeling and machine learning, including the development and validation of tools designed to assist clinicians in the assessment process.

Justin holds a B.A. in Asian Studies and Government & Legal Studies from Bowdoin College and an M.P.S. in Analytics and Applied Machine Intelligence from Northeastern University. His technical background spans data science, machine learning, software development, data visualization, and cloud technologies.

Simela Radis, Office Manager & Research Assistant

Simela Radis is a student at Wellesley College pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences. Her academic interests in neuroscience and neuropsychology, combined with prior administrative and research experience, inform her work across both the clinical and research activities of CCEB.

As Administrative Assistant and Office Manager, Simela supports the daily operations of the practice and helps ensure that each patient’s experience is organized, welcoming, and confidential. She coordinates scheduling, communications, records, billing, and other administrative processes while serving as a reliable point of contact for patients, families, clinicians, and referral sources.

Simela also serves as a Research Assistant, supporting the development of the Vyas Questionnaire (VQ) through literature reviews, data organization and analysis, and outreach. She brings additional experimental research experience from her work in the Gobes Finch Lab at Wellesley College.

With a strong attention to detail and a patient-centered approach, Simela is particularly interested in research that connects neuroscientific findings with clinical insight and improves outcomes for individuals with neurological and neuropsychological conditions. Her work at CCEB reflects her broader goal of pursuing a career in neuropsychology.

Claire Sheeleigh, Administrative Assistant

Claire Sheeleigh is a current student at Lehigh University majoring in Psychology with a minor in Business. She works as an Administrative Assistant for Dr. Vyas, where she helps with the day-to-day work of the practice and has gained experience in neuropsychology, mental health, and cognitive health. Claire is particularly interested in clinical psychology and hopes to pursue a career working with children and adolescents.

In her role at the practice, Claire helps with a range of administrative responsibilities, including answering patient phone calls, scheduling appointments, communicating with patients and families, welcoming patients and providers, and helping keep the office organized. Working in a clinical setting has helped her build her communication and organizational skills while giving her a better understanding of what goes into creating a comfortable and supportive environment for patients and their families.

Over the summer, Claire also became involved in Dr. Vyas’ research and outreach work surrounding the Vyas Questionnaire© (VQ). She helped reach out to local government offices and organizations to introduce them to the VQ and raise awareness of its purpose. This experience gave Claire the opportunity to see how research can be shared outside of an academic setting and how tools like the VQ can help bring greater attention to mental and cognitive health.

Working at the practice has also allowed Claire to see the connection between research, clinical care, and the everyday work involved in running a practice. Her experience with Dr. Vyas has complemented her psychology studies at Lehigh University and given her the opportunity to apply what she has learned in the classroom to a professional setting.

Looking ahead, Claire plans to continue her education in psychology and pursue graduate training in clinical psychology. She hopes to build a career working with children and adolescents and is especially interested in helping individuals and families better understand and manage their mental and cognitive health. Her experience with Dr. Vyas has helped strengthen this interest and given her valuable experience as she works toward her future career.
